FREE CARE FOR LOW INCOME: If you are low income, you may be able to get your blood tests—and other hospital services, including emergency room visits and hospital care-- for free through the Hospital Care Assurance Program. This program requires all Ohio hospitals to offer free care to people at or below the federal poverty line. For more information, click here. Summa hospitals and LabCare Plus, which is owned by Summa, go even further: they provide free care to people who earn up to 200% of the poverty guidelines.
